Sustainability is One of our Core Values
In the 2019/20 school year, we made sustainability our theme for the year. We weren't sure how our students would react to it and have already prepared ourselves for persuasion. But that was not necessary: They were immediately enthusiastic and the classes outbid each other with ideas and suggestions on the subject of environmental protection. Almost every day they have new ideas on how we can make our everyday school life even more sustainable.
Within a very short period of time, the Klax School, at the insistence of the pupils, only had fruit of regional origin, various long-term projects are underway to improve our sustainability balance and in each project week the classes surprise us with new ideas for the protection of the environment. In addition, the pupils included the point "resource conservation" in the new value principle of the Klax School.
At public events such as our open days, we collect money to initiate further sustainability projects. With this money we are currently making our school playground greener from these donations.
