Year 11 project trip to Nuremberg

From 1 to 5 November 2021, the 11th grade went to Nuremberg to study the topic "Causes, contexts and consequences of National Socialist tyranny".

For this purpose, they went on excursions to various places in Nuremberg, where the pupils were able to gain a deeper insight into history and background knowledge. In addition to the Nazi Party Rally building, they also visited the large outdoor area with the Golden Hall as well as the Nuremberg Trials Memorium and the Art Bunker. After the visits, the students exchanged, reflected and discussed their impressions. There was also enough time to explore the city in small groups.

One pupil enthusiastically stated: "We learned a lot of interesting and important things for the coming lessons during our trip and we all grew together even more. I found it very nice to have had the opportunity to take part in this trip and the associated excursions, and I thank everyone with whom I was able to have this experience."

The students also liked the youth hostel, which is located in an old castle complex right next to the famous Kaiserburg. Last year, the upper school also stayed there on their excursion.
