Romeo und Julia
Really in love for the first time, butterflies in their stomachs and their whole lives ahead of them? For Romeo and Juliet, the whole thing is not so simple - what is left for them to do when their families are enemies, when the adults do not listen to their children and the whole world has conspired against them?
Based on the famous drama by William Shakespeare, the pupils of grades 7-12 at the Klax School develop their own story of friendship, of competition, of the struggle for one's own decision and of the desperate attempt to find happiness against all odds.
Using graffiti elements, hip-hop, live music, video art and sound recordings, the students bring the classic play into our modern times and tell the world's greatest love story anew and in their own way.
