What does a school with a focus on art and digital media actually look like from the inside? And how does the special learning concept of Klax work?
At the Open Day on 15 January, visitors were able to get an idea of everyday learning at our school, explore the premises and talk to teachers, students or parents. In guided tours through the building, they visited the Makerspace, podcast room or art studio and learned about the special teaching concept.
A highlight awaited the guests in the Makerspace: our students used the recycling machine to make spinning tops from recycled plastic. In addition, our chemistry and physics teachers demonstrated how to detect genes in organic tomatoes and how to boil water in a vacuum even at low temperatures. Meanwhile, our wholefood caterer Löwenzahn provided culinary catering in the school cafeteria.
To make the visit as safe as possible, the school took additional Corona measures for the event. As part of the 2G+ regulation, all guests aged 6 and over required proof of a daily negative rapid test. In addition, the number of visitors was limited to a maximum of 20 per hour and only possible with registration.
We are happy about the successful day and the many interested people. The places for the new 7th grade were particularly in demand.
The next open day will take place on 7 May.
