Making bots, 3D printing and upcycling - many things were possible at the "Family Night".
Anyone who stood in front of the school on Saturday evening and looked up might have been surprised, because the lights were still on in the rooms. The reason was the "11th Family Night", which took place on 2nd October under the motto "Me! You! We! Together for our Earth" and in which our school participated for the first time. In total, there were 117 offers for families in the Berlin area that evening.
From 17:00 to 20:00 the doors of the school were open for young and old visitors. They were enthusiastic about the many possibilities: The children made small bots, created graphics for 3D printing, made name tags on the laser cutter and produced stickers for their children's room doors with the cutting plotter. Third-grader Hanna: "I liked that they [red. the Klax employees] made me so happy with the things I made. I learned a lot!"
A special highlight for everyone was the Precious Plastic plant. Under the guidance of a student, each child was able to shred old bottle caps, choose a color of their choice, and make a small spinning top out of the recycled plastic. One family even came to the Klax school because they had read about the plant and wanted to learn more about it.
