The Future Day under the motto "Your future, your choice" took place for the second time on Friday, 21 April 2023 and, like last year, was once again a great success. At the information stands of numerous companies such as Berliner Volksbank, adesso or the Handelskammer Berlin, pupils and parents were able to get extensive information about the possibilities of choosing a course of study and a career. Universities and colleges such as the Berlin International University of Applied Sciences or the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) as well as youth organisations were also represented and engaged in personal exchanges to provide advice on the various options after leaving school.
In addition to the fair, there was a total of 23 lectures and workshops on a wide range of career and study fields. In the Makerspace of the Klax School, the students worked on the vectorisation of graphics and the programming of microcontrollers. In order to know exactly what is important in the application process, the students also had the opportunity to attend a job application training. The supporting programme this year included the travelling exhibitions "My Talents" and "Exciting Careers in Climate Protection for Women". In addition, VR glasses were used to virtually explore occupational fields in short video sequences. In sunny spring weather, the Löwenzahn team provided culinary delights for all participants in the schoolyard.
We would like to thank all exhibitors and speakers for the exciting programme and the positive feedback. We are looking forward to the Future Day 2024 and are looking forward to welcoming all participants again.
