Bicycle Tour of the 11th Grade Class

By bike to the Werbellinsee

Last year, for the first time, we took our new 7th graders on a get-to-know-you bike tour. This was met with such enthusiasm by some students in the upper school that they suggested that a similar tour be organized at the beginning of the upper school in the 2021/22 school year - after all, every year some young people move to our school for the 11th grade.

We were happy to take up this idea, and so at the end of August there was a get-to-know-you tour for the 11th grade for the first time. The young people drove about 60 km to the Werbellinsee. Exhausted, but proud of their achievement, they finally arrived there. In the evening, they had a barbecue together. On the second day, the program included cooperation games for further team building, which were led by teammates from the Schattenspringer association. The students used the evening for swimming and other leisure activities.

On the day of departure, it was unfortunately still very rainy at the beginning. Nevertheless, most of the group did not want to miss the (relatively long) return journey by bike, even under these conditions. Since they now already knew the route well, they were happily back home in a good riding time.
