How do journalists work? How does Instagram work? How do I distinguish fake news from real news? These questions led through the ARD Youth Media Day on November 10th.
The pupils of 7a took part in the online web talk and the interactive workshop on the topic "Professions - Making Jokes on the Internet".
Maximilian Kamp, Denis Miler and Jean-Luc Pignon from the sports satire magazine Wumms led through the questions of what humour is, where satire begins and when it is simple bullying.
The pupils liked the programme very much, as they are all "old hands" in questions of media use. By focusing specifically on the fine line between wit and insult, they were sensitised to communication on the internet. Because intonation and facial expressions of direct contact are missing here, something can quickly be misunderstood.
All the more important to strike the right note - and still be able to be funny.
