On 27 November, the primary students happily stayed up late for school: Following the motto "Off to the Future", the Klax School participated again this year in the ARD Radio Night, which was hosted for the 14th time.
Between 8 p.m. in the evening and 1 a.m. in the night, ARD presented stories, radio plays and comedy via the medium that existed long before TV, tablet and co. and regularly brought families together to listen to sports broadcasts and the news.
Unlike usual, the Klax students had to do without the usual overnight stay at school this year. Instead, the students had already recorded videos for the radio night song in advance and had dealt with this year's motto in the reference rooms of the school.
For the implementation of the radio night at home, the students received participation bags, which they unpacked during the video call with the educators and built torches, insect robots and Schrottbotts. The students then exchanged information about the programme and the ARD's participatory offers via teams.
The stamina varied. Nike made it to 11 p.m. "At one point I was already in bed, so we were supposed to do jumping jacks to stay awake. I rode bike lying down."
