Future Day with Special Guest Ali Mahlodji

Schülerinnen und Schüler während der Live Show

On Friday, April 19, it was once again “Your Future, Your Choice!”. On Future Day at the Klax School, pupils were able to find out about career and training opportunities at exhibition stands and in presentations and workshops. This year's highlight was a motivational talk by EU Youth Ambassador and speaker Ali Mahlodji.

“The future is sitting in front of me” - this is how motivational coach Ali Mahlodji began his “futureRocka” Live Show, which was the crowning glory of the successful Future Day. In his presentation, Ali talked about his impressive life story: as a child, he fled Iran with his family and dropped out of school in Germany. Today, he is an EU Youth Ambassador, founder, entrepreneur and Austria's best-known motivational speaker. In his live show, Ali gave the more than 300 students in attendance a lot of confidence for their professional careers. The talk was a plea to believe in yourself and take life into your own hands. The questions from the students at the end made it clear how much this lecture had moved them. Ali Mahlodji's appearance was the highlight of the Future Day, which began in the morning. Exhibitors such as Berliner Wasserbetriebe, TH Brandenburg, Handwerkskammer Berlin and many others presented themselves with information stands on the topics of studying, training and stays abroad. Klax was also represented with two stands: Our vocational academy provided information about full-time and part-time training opportunities and the Klax School stand focused on the start of the new vocational secondary school in September.

In addition to the information stands, students were able to choose from a wide range of lectures and workshops - e.g. “How do I become an educator?”, “Digitalization in the skilled trades”, “Shaping a liveable and sustainable city”. Some former pupils of the Klax School also presented their current everyday life at university or in vocational training on Future Day. A virtual museum and interactive career explorations with VR glasses rounded off the varied supporting program.

We are delighted with the positive response to the Future Day and would like to thank all the speakers and workshop leaders, our partners and exhibitors, the entire school team and our administration for making this inspiring day possible.
