Turning night into day - that was also on the agenda at the 13th Family Maker Night on Saturday, 7 October 2023. Things got lively in our Makerspace: Together, they made so-called "upcycling bots" out of recycled materials such as bottle corks. The participants connected the corks to a small motor, connected them to a battery and brought them to life as robots. There were no limits to the design. In addition, the young and old participants were able to get an idea of how 3D printers, laser cutters and their programmes work. Trying out the recycling machine, with which small spinning tops were made from recycled plastic, was a highlight for the visitors and the spinning tops were also a nice souvenir to take home. We were very pleased about the lively interest, the curiosity about innovative topics and the active participation of all families. We are already looking forward to the Family Night 2024.
