On Saturday, the enrolment of the new first graders took place at the Klax School in perfect weather. We are happy that we were able to celebrate this very special day for the families and children. A total of 40 children were welcomed into one German and one English speaking class to the applause of their parents and grandparents.
After an opening song performed by older primary school children for the new first classes and a speech by our headmaster Mr. Kelly, two pupils told about their everyday life at Klax School. The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by professional musical accompaniment.
The first graders received a school cone and were allowed to have their first "lesson" in their reference room after the programme. After their first lesson, a professional photographer took photos of the children while the families enjoyed the beautiful weather, food and great music on the rooftop schoolyard.
Food was provided by our organic caterer Löwenzahn, who treated guests to delicious burgers and sides. In addition, an ice cream stand provided for enthusiasm. At the farewell, many parents expressed their heartfelt thanks for the wonderful celebration.
