As part of the World Cleanup Day, students from the 1st to 13th grades set out on September 16 to rid Berlin of trash and thus making an important contribution to a clean and healthy environment free of plastic waste.
Equipped with gloves, trash bags and grabbers, the classes cleaned the streets and parks near the school and collected plastic, paper and residual trash. Back at the school, students from the 9th and 10th grade weighed and documented the trash. An incredible amount of 264 kg of trash was collected, including 32.1 kg of plastic, 6.8 kg of paper, 24.5 kg of metal and 200.6 kg of residual waste.
