The new school year at Klax School traditionally begins with Orientation Week. This first week focuses on social interaction: arriving, getting oriented, building trust, and making friends. This year, too, the start of the school year was marked by exchange, new ideas, and shared experiences.
One of the highlights of the Orientation Week was the final competition on Friday: in an exhibition, the students used posters and presentations to show what is important to them.
In Primary School, the focus was on discovering common interests. The children used these to develop topic ideas for the Lotus Plan.
In Secondary and Upper Secondary School, the students worked intensively with "BeSol" – Guided Self-Organized Learning. The central questions here were: What values are important to us in order to learn well together? What does it mean to take responsibility for our learning? The exhibition featured many results on learning strategies, (self-)responsibility in the learning process, and portfolio and logbook work.
The most convincing projects were awarded a trophy. The contributions were evaluated not only by learning guides, but also by the students themselves.
A big thank you goes to all the students for their commitment, their ideas, and their many creative contributions. The encounter week was a successful start to the 2025/2026 school year!
