For 41 children and their families, a new chapter began on Saturday: the start of school at Klax School. In a festive ceremony, we warmly welcomed our new first graders – accompanied by much anticipation, pride, and an esteeming atmosphere.
Starting school at Klax is more than just a transition. It is the beginning of a journey in which children are encouraged to actively shape their learning process – in an environment that inspires confidence and allows room for development.
In her welcome speech, Head Teacher Mrs. Baudisch emphasized the importance of school days for life: “School is a place of friendship, learning, and discovery. I found my best friends at school – and they are still with me today.”
The festively decorated gym, musical performances under the direction of learning guide Igor Yakymenko, and the lovingly prepared food from our organic caterer Löwenzahn provided the ideal setting to celebrate the start of the school year properly.
After the official part, the children were given a taste of real school life with a short lesson – a thirty-minute insight into everyday school life that aroused great curiosity about what was to come.
A special feature this year: the enrollment ceremony marked the inauguration of our new primary school building at Neumannstraße 98 b/c. From now on, our first and second grades will learn there in modern classrooms with plenty of space to discover, explore and grow.
