„Plastik neu geformt“: Vote Now for the Our Happy Future Club

Our Happy Future Club’s “Domino” artwork reaches the final

Our Happy Future Club at Klax International School is one of the three finalists in the “Plastik neu geformt” (“Plastic Reimagined”) student competition with its sculpture “Domino”. We are delighted to have received this recognition and would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the jury for recognising and selecting our artwork. The winners will now be decided by an online vote.

Vote for “Domino” now

You can support our students by awarding stars to all three sculptures in the online vote. “Domino” is listed at the top of the voting page. If you like the artwork created by Our Happy Future AG, we would be especially grateful if you could award “Domino” as many stars as possible.

At the very bottom of the voting form, click “Submit” to ensure your vote is counted. You do not need to provide your name or email address. You can vote more than once.

From Plastic Waste to a Climate Message

The primary school pupils of Our Happy Future Club have transformed discarded yoghurt pots, plastic bottles and other plastic waste into a special work of art. Their sculpture, “Domino”, draws attention to the impact of plastic waste on our environment and shows how closely pollution, damaged ecosystems and climate change are interconnected.

The name “Domino” represents a chain reaction: plastic that enters the environment can break down into microplastics and nanoplastics, harm animals and plants, and damage natural habitats. Through their sculpture, the pupils aim to make these connections visible and encourage people to reflect on how they can use resources more responsibly.

The project combines environmental education, creative expression and international collaboration. Our partner schools in Tenerife and Oulu, Finland, have also created sculptures on the subject of plastic waste. Their works are part of the competition entry, too.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved

A project like this can only succeed through teamwork. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the members of our Makerspace team for their hands-on support and to our caretaker for transporting the sculpture safely. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Silke Schaper and Heiko Mattschull for guiding and supporting our pupils, as well as to everyone else whose dedication helped make this project possible.
