Many beautiful products, many visitors - and many donations for Afghanistan. In total 6200 Euro were collected!
On 8th October, the autumn market took place at the end of our project week. The students had set up a total of 16 stalls in the schoolyard. Pumpkins and straw bales formed a beautiful autumnal backdrop in the bright sunshine; parents and grandparents were invited to come by, admire the products – and buy them.
The products had been made by the students themselves in the days before as part of the project week, including pictures, candles, soaps, calendars and autumnal wreaths.
The children of the Klax Pre-School were represented with their own booth. They sold self-made envelopes for the logbooks and were very proud to be part of "the big ones" market.
The more than 200 visitors were enthusiastic and some of the products were sold out immediately. In the end, almost 6200 Euros were collected, which was more than at the previous autumn markets. Also this year, the entire proceeds went to the Afghan Women's Association, which among other things runs our partner school in Afghanistan, the girls' school in Roshani. The association can use this donation very well on site, because in Afghanistan the winter is just around the corner, - 15 degrees Celsius are not uncommon there. The association will distribute blankets and food to needy families again this winter
