Online talent parcours

The pupils of classes 8a and 8b took part in the digital talent course of SchulePLUS. Emily and Levin took part. Here is their report:

"The Talent Parcours was an interesting experience for us. We found the discussions in the plenary particularly exciting, in which we exchanged ideas about why we are enthusiastic about certain career goals. We talked about our interests and broadened our horizons in the process. Moreover, these discussions increased our motivation to think about our own professional future.

As part of the course, there were different quiz games where we had to answer questions about our interests and our ideas about certain professions, for example. The talent course also included group work in which we had to research a certain occupational group and write a text. In this way, we were able to get to know different social professions, such as educator, medical professions, technical professions and the natural sciences a little better.

What surprised us was that the salary expectations in certain professions did not match our expectations, and that a long education does not automatically mean earning a lot later on."
