The Klax School presented its special educational work at the Education Market of the Future Forum of the Berlin Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In particular, the innovative approach to the use of digital media and tools in everyday school life met with great interest from the interested professional audience. André Timm, head of the Makespace at the Klax school, shared his experiences from the last three years of school development at Klax in his practical presentation and gave his colleagues tips and support for project-oriented learning and the use of the Design Thinking method in the classroom.
On the big stage, Klax founder Antje Bostelmann discussed the challenges of dealing with AI in schools in a panel discussion with Brandenburg's Minister of Education Steffen Freiberg, Professor of Digital Education at the University of Oldenburg Felicitas Macgilchrist, founder of the Bettermarks learning platform Arndt Kwiatkowski and moderator Dr Julia Kleeberger from the young tinkerers. "We have to teach children to understand how AI works and to critically question the results of such tools. This can only be done through active discussion," Bostelmann explained the attitude of the teachers at the Klax School in dealing with technical innovations.
