Open Day at Klax School
On Saturday 17 May, the Klax School hosted another open day. Many visitors took the opportunity to explore the school building, learn about our educational concept, and speak to teachers and pupils directly.
Guided tours of the premises provided guests with a comprehensive insight into everyday school life, learning methods, and the school's special facilities. Visitors were also introduced to the various school clubs, including the school band, who provided live musical performances. In additon, the school company Second Life Plastic presented its projects for reducing plastic waste. Our organic caterer, Löwenzahn, provided delicious snacks and drinks.
In the Creative Hub, visitors could explore the makerspace, art studio and music area. Insights into the elective subjects of art, music and maker & design were particularly impressive, offering the opportunity to participate on site. Activities included painting in the studio, 3D printing key rings in the maker area and trying out instruments. The creative, hands-on programme proved very popular.
Nearby, the Klax Children's Art Gallery opened its new exhibition, 'Echo – Resonances of Tradition and Modernity', with a vernissage on the same day. Until 11 July, the gallery will display works by pupils in grades 7 to 10 which explore classical and contemporary pictorial elements.
We want to thank all visitors for their interest and all staff for their hard work in making this a successful day!
