After the summer vacations a new school phase began for the students of the 11th grade. They are now part of the upper school. Even though some students have been attending the Klax School for a long time, there have been some changes. New students were welcomed in their classes and they are also getting to know the new campus as well as their new class teachers.
Thus, this bicycle tour offers a good opportunity to get to know each other and to grow together as a class. The students mastered their first challenge - the 60 km long bicycle tour to the Werbellinsee. Exhausted but happy, the students reached their destination.
At Werbellinsee, a time full of exciting, joint activities with the focus on growing together as a community awaited the students.
Over the course of two days, the students worked in teams and developed a Nature Adventure Game. From the planning to the implementation of their own game, the students collected ideas, made joint decisions, distributed tasks, built their game and tested it before it was presented to the other teams. There were a few things to keep in mind. The game had to take place within a defined "space" in nature. At least three puzzles and three tasks had to be integrated. The content of the game was based on a story invented by the students. Time, characters and genre could be chosen freely. For the implementation there was provided a material case, utensils and a coach.
On those two days, each team sliped into the role of the game developer, the game leader, but also the game player. This kind of teamwork and the change of perspective was a lot of fun for the students and strengthened the togetherness of the classes.
The third day on site served the young people and class leaders to reflect on the last two days. The class trip was rounded off by swimming, playing volleyball and other joint activities on the grounds.
On the day of return, the 11th grade again cycled the 60 km back to Berlin Pankow.
