Tinkerers and inventors will get their money's worth on 2nd October from 17:00-20:00: On the occasion of the Long Night of Families, we invite children from the age of five to create new things from used materials in our School Makerspace. For example, they can build small bots, glowing cardboard houses, out of packaging materials. In addition, our "Precious Plastic Plant" will create new objects from recycled and pressed plastic. Interested parties can learn about recycling cycle here in a vivid way, try it out and take home a small useful object at the end. "We approach the topic of sustainability in our school projects in a practical, creative and solution-oriented way. For us, used packaging made of different materials is not waste, but valuable raw material for our Maker projects, from which many beneficial ideas have already emerged" explains André Timm, head of the Makerspace.
