A joint start to the school year
In order to give the students a pleasant start after the summer vacations and give them the opportunity to get to know their learning environment better, the new school year at the Klax School traditionally begins with an encounter week. Each day has a special theme that helps the pupils to master the transition back to school life. Social interaction is also strengthened through joint activities for all class levels.
A central component of the week is the development of a common code of values that shapes the way we work together at the school. Together with their learning guides, the pupils discussed values such as tolerance, respect, honesty and compassion and determined which values are particularly important to them in everyday school life. Class representatives were also elected during this week.
The week culminates in the traditional school competition. This year's motto was “school without racism - school with courage”. The pupils developed creative ideas, which they presented to the jury in the form of presentations, podcasts and videos.
Congratulations to this year's winning classes:
- 10a for their “Anonymous mailbox online”, which makes it possible to provide anonymous feedback and ideas for a respectful school community.
- 4a for their “Project Day of Cultures”, which celebrates diversity at our school and promotes mutual understanding.
A big thank you to all classes for their commitment and creative contributions.
The encounter week was a successful start to the 2024/2025 school year and we look forward to living and strengthening the values we have developed together in everyday school life.
