Project Days Environment and Climate: A Review of the Upcycling Days

Schüler*innen präsentieren ihre Arbeit

The Upcycling Day took place this school year at the beginning of July and was extended into two exciting project days under the motto "Environment and Climate". In various workshops, the students were able to develop their creative skills in upcycling and deal with very different climate and environmental topics. With such a wide range of topics, it was not always easy to decide on a workshop. For example, one classroom was transformed into a bicycle workshop and the students learned how to change a tire or make other small repairs to a bicycle. The climate poetry slam focused on climate messages, and a workshop team created creative upcycling decorations for the school prom. Among other things, pretty macramé lanterns were created. In addition, the students learned about ways to make the planet a little greener. In addition to the production of so-called "seed bombs", project work was used to develop visions of the future, showing what the green city of the future could look like. The impact of peatlands on the climate was also the subject of a workshop. The school company "Second Life Plastic" used the two days to further develop its business. We are thrilled with the visions and results that the students developed during these two days.
