Wildlife: Visiting South Africa
On March 4, 2025, the primary and transition classes of the Klax School brought their theater play "Wildlife: Visiting South Africa" to the stage. The story follows the Berlin storks Berta and Hilde as they travel to South Africa to collect reports on their fellow species for their friends at the zoo. Along the way, they meet wild dogs, baboons, penguins, fur seals, and other animals who share their challenges—ranging from species extinction and climate change to ocean pollution. A special highlight: the performance was bilingual in German and English!
The play was the result of a creative theater project week, during which the students learned more about performing while also designing the stage set, costumes, music, and props themselves. Meanwhile, a documentation team captured the week in videos and photos.
A huge thank you to everyone involved for their incredible dedication—and to the parents who took the time to attend the performance!
